Not all methodologies are the same
I am aware that not everyone has had positive experiences learning Spanish
Traditional schools rely on outdated methodologies that slow down students’ progress, using far too much grammar and far too little conversation.
Long and boring explanations on the blackboard, fill-in-the-blank exercises, a bit of conversation, a bit more review and then home you go.
If you’ve had such learning experiences, you already know that there is hardly any conversation involved, which makes it difficult to help learners of Spanish with what they really need… The ability to communicate fluently, confidently and self-assuredly, in a way that is natural and anxiety-free.
But don’t throw in the towel just yet, as there are other methodologies that are based on the real problems of the students. They are designed in a far more personalised and effective way and have a highly visual style, just like my “Flipped” methodology, which will help you achieve what you’ve been wanting for so long… to speak Spanish fluently.

You turn on your computer with absolute freedom and flexibility, whenever and wherever you want, and you press play. You enjoy your grammar and vocabulary class at your own pace thanks to the audiovisual content and the highly explanatory and dynamic infographics that help you to better understand every concept and, most importantly, to remember them more easily.
You join our live class via Zoom, where you feel like you’re chatting with a friend about everyday topics, using native expressions naturally. This prepares you to have real-life conversations with Spanish speakers from all over the world.
You realise how much you enjoy the process and not just because I am so much fun, but also because the lesson flies by, and as you switch off you feel that you’re learning and progressing without even realising it. Mi experiencia con Direct Español ha sido excelente y muy efectiva. Estaba buscando una forma de mejorar mi español y, por suerte, encontré Direct Español. Desde el principio me di cuenta de que no iba a ser una experiencia normal de aprendizaje, sino un viaje divertido hacia alcanzar un objetivo personal… ¡y vaya viaje que ha sido!

I had the privilege to have Alberto as my Spanish teacher under my visit in Valencia. Alberto has a creative way of explaining the Spanish language, by focusing on building interaction amongs students and himself. His classes were easy to follow, with a good level of humour and professionalism. As a language teacher Alberto has an ability to engage and motivate his students throughout the whole class.
I had a great time learning spanish in classes with Alberto! All of the classes were very engaging, and there were always different activities and games to make learning Spanish interesting and fun. At times I was a little slower at learning than the other students, but I always felt comfortable and was encouraged to be interactive in the classes. When I needed some extra assistance, Alberto always came to assist me and gave some additional explanation. Alberto is a very patient teacher and his classes are a lot of fun. I would happily recommend him as a Spanish teacher.

Alberto est un professeur très à l’écoute. Il prend le temps de bien expliquer les choses, il est patient et explique très bien. C’est un professeur dynamique avec des activités intéressantes pour nous faire apprendre au mieux. Lors de mes cours d’espagnol, j’ai toujours eu beaucoup de plaisir à travailler avec Alberto. I would strongly recommend Alberto as your Spanish teacher. According to me he is both professional, carrying and funny. When I started to take classes with Alberto I more or less didn’t know any Spanish at all, but still he made it possible to do a class in only Spanish from the start in a both great and funny way, that was impressing. I learned a lot from my classes with Alberto and today I’m hanging out with Spanish friends by just talking in Spanish.
Alberto is a great teacher! I had the opportunity to study Spanish with him for several months during my first year in Spain. As a retired person, and someone who had not studied a foreign language before, I was concerned that I would not be able to learn. But Alberto made it fun, and I learned a lot in a very short time. He is patient and encouraging, and presented just the right amount of challenges for me to keep improving. I highly recommend his courses!
While spending my time in Spain, to learn Spanish I had the honor to learn from very good teachers BUT at the end I learned the most with and from Alberto! Why? He made it always to the point, he made simple and clear examples I understood right away. The way he teaches grammar is like watching a good movie, you just soak it in and you get it sooo easy, and still, the professionalism is always high level!
